The panel focuses on the universal right to access to secure food, explored through the lens of food sovereignty – the ability of communities to independently define sustainable, resilient, and fair food systems.

This right translates into concrete actions that combine environmental sustainability and social equity, emphasizing both local and global perspectives.

Public policies and innovative territorial practices will show how institutions, producers, and civil society can collaborate to ensure healthy and accessible food for all, promoting practices such as short supply chains, waste reduction, self-sufficiency, and responsible public procurement.

At the same time, it addresses the challenges faced in the Global South, where right to food is threatened by climate change and structural and social vulnerabilities.
