The event will start early in the morning with a visit to the SogeMi Mercato Ortofrutticolo, Milan Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market, offering a unique opportunity to experience the city’s main fresh produce market in full operation.
Participants will observe the logistics, coordination, and large-scale handling of fruits and vegetables, gaining practical insights into urban food distribution and supply chain management.
The visit will highlight the market’s role within the urban food system and its approaches to improving efficiency and sustainability.
The tour will finish with breakfast, providing space for discussion and exchange on the practices observed.
