The visit to the Quaranta Kitchen Centre of Milano Ristorazione offers an inside look at a recently renovated facility combining efficiency with advanced technology.
Preparing around 8,000 meals every day for schools and public services, this kitchen center is a model of innovation and sustainability.
The facility includes systems for sludge recovery from grease and the reuse of steam for both cooling and heating, reducing energy waste and environmental impact.
The visit will conclude with a light breakfast, offering an opportunity to reflect on the site’s modern operations and sustainable approach to large-scale meal production.
Milano Ristorazione is a municipally controlled company creating "healthy, good, educational and fair" school meals, especially at kindergarten, elementary and middle school levels. Additionally, it provides meals for healthcare residences and home service for the elderly and people with disabilities.
