By organizing a dedicated training session on urban food policies during the MUFPP Global Forum 2025 in Milan, the Urban Agenda Food Partnership is creating a valuable opportunity for cities to strengthen their knowledge and capacity in designing effective local food policies.
This training serves as a platform for city representatives to exchange experiences, explore best practices, and gain practical insights into the steps required to shape comprehensive food strategies tailored to local contexts.
To build on this foundation, the second part of the training features an interactive workshop on food waste approaches, developed in collaboration with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
This workshop allows participants to engage with tools and methodologies to reduce food waste, ensuring that cities not only design policies but also adopt impactful, action-oriented solutions to advance sustainable and resilient urban food systems.
