This plenary session has the aim of providing an overview of the extensive work carried by the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact over its 10 years of activity, gathering today over 320 Mayors from all over the world.
It will be a key moment to reflect on the Pact’s continuously increasing and evolving membership, strong and successful partnerships and comprehensive knowledge developed over the years.
A segment of the plenary session will be also dedicated to the regional updates coming from MUFPP Steering Committee representatives, that will highlight key milestones of their mandate.

Presentation of the State of the Pact
The session will include the presentation of the State of the Pact run by the Vicemayor of Milan Anna Scavuzzo will provide an update on the progress of the Pact over the past decade, highlighting its expanding global reach and impact, reflecting on the evolution of the MUFPP and the key achievements of its global network of cities.
Signing Ceremony for new signatory cities
This moment will welcome new cities joining the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact, further strengthening the commitment of urban governments to sustainable food systems.
Regional updates from MUFPP Steering Committee representatives
Moderated by Serena Duraccio, MUFPP Secretariat, this segment will feature insights from regional focal points showcasing milestones, policy innovations, and lessons learned from across all regions: Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, North & Central America, South America, Eurasia & South West Asia.
Roundtable wrap-up and conclusions
The session will close with reflections on the Pact’s next steps and upcoming priorities, reaffirming the MUFPP’s role as the leading global network of cities transforming food systems for people and the planet.
